KARAK: Police in Karak said they used anti-drone equipment to stop several quadcopters allegedly deployed by terrorists to target personnel during Independence Day celebrations in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, the attempted attacks took place at four separate locations, where quadcopters were allegedly being used to drop explosives and strike police officials. The force said anti-drone guns and drone locators recently provided to police helped personnel detect and intercept multiple unmanned aircraft before they could reach their intended targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In one incident within the limits of Gurguri Police Station, an explosive dropped from a quadcopter detonated while police personnel were carrying out routine duties. Police said three personnel suffered minor injuries in the blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Karak District Police Officer Imran Khan went to the police station after the incident and met the injured personnel, police said. The three were taken to Banda Hospital for treatment and were later discharged after receiving first aid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
