In Korangi No 6, officers said two men on a motorcycle opened fire after being signalled to stop near Jalebi Chowk in the Awami Colony area. One suspect, identified as Hamza, was arrested in an injured condition, while his accomplice escaped. Police said a 30-bore pistol was recovered from him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A police spokesperson said Hamza had admitted during initial interrogation to shooting and injuring his associates, Nadeem and Saeed Johar, in Bengali Para on July 25 over a dispute about the distribution of money. The spokesperson added that the suspect also confessed involvement in multiple robbery and street crime cases. He was shifted to hospital, and police said efforts were under way to trace the fleeing accomplice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another incident in Sector 11-C\/1 within the Sir Syed police station limits, police said suspected street criminal Muhammad Ali was arrested in an injured condition after an alleged encounter. His accomplice also escaped.
