Allottees say illegal occupation of plots and weak enforcement have delayed possession and construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISLAMABAD: More than two decades after Sector G-14\/1 was launched in the federal capital, much of the sub-sector remains undeveloped as allottees say illegal occupation is still blocking access to a majority of plots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sector G-14 was opened for development in 2004. While work has advanced in G-14\/2, G-14\/3 and G-14\/4 over the years, G-14\/1 has fallen behind, leaving legitimate owners unable to take possession of their plots and begin construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Affectees and allottees say organised land grabbers have established themselves in the area by putting up structures and resisting eviction attempts. They also allege that the housing authority has not acted decisively to clear encroachments and has instead allowed a pattern in which illegal occupants are later compensated to vacate, adding to delays and financial losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One allottee, who asked not to be named, said, &#8220;This has become a cycle.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than two decades after its launch, Islamabad&#8217;s G-14\/1 remains largely undeveloped.
