ISLAMABAD: Four people were killed and four others were injured in a collision involving two cars and a motorbike near Athal Chowk in Bhara Kahu in the early hours of Sunday, according to police and a first information report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Land Cruiser and a Toyota Aqua coming from Murree appeared to be racing when they collided near the chowk, leading to injuries to eight people. In a case registered at Bhara Kahu police station, complainant Safar Sadar, a resident of Phulgran, told police that the two fast-moving vehicles were racing when the crash occurred near Uthal Chowk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A police official said four people died at the scene, while two of the injured were in critical condition. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The dead were identified as Naseer Abbasi and Amir, while the identities of the other two victims had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said both drivers fled after leaving their vehicles behind. The two vehicles have been taken into custody and efforts are under way to trace the accused drivers.
