We do not comment on these individual, specific incidents,\u201d said FO Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The comments by the FO spokesperson follow a\u00a0<em>Reuters<\/em>\u00a0report\u00a0that claimed Iran and the United States have received a plan to end hostilities, which was put together by Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Reuters<\/em>&nbsp;report, which cited a \u201csource aware of the proposals\u201d, claimed the framework was exchanged with the two sides overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2026\/04\/06\/iran-war-us-tehran-ceasefire-talks\"><em>Axios<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em>&nbsp;citing US, Israeli and regional sources, first reported on Sunday that the US, Iran and regional mediators were discussing a potential 45-day ceasefire as part of a two-phase deal that could lead to a permanent end to the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Separately, Iran said it has formulated its positions and demands in response to recent ceasefire proposals conveyed via intermediaries, a foreign ministry spokesperson said, adding that negotiations were \u201cincompatible with ultimatums and threats to commit war crimes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran had a set of requirements based on its national interests that had already been conveyed via intermediary channels, adding that earlier US demands, such as the 15-point plan, were rejected for being \u201cexcessive\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIran does not hesitate to clearly express what it considers its legitimate demands and doing so should not be interpreted as a sign of compromise, but rather as a reflection of its confidence in defending its positions,\u201d Baghaei said in a press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest diplomatic push comes amid escalating hostilities that have raised concerns over disruption to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical artery for global oil supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conflict has heightened volatility in energy markets, with traders closely watching any developments that could affect flows through the strait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan has positioned itself as a facilitator in the peace process, leveraging its ties with the US and its working relationship with Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday, Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi\u00a0clarified\u00a0that Tehran\u2019s leadership \u201cnever refused to go to Islamabad\u201d for possible\u00a0peace talks\u00a0that Pakistan has\u00a0offered\u00a0to host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1989118\/peace-process-ongoing-fo-neither-confirms-nor-denies-reports-of-pakistan-proposing-framework-to-end-iran-war#more-warnings-from-trump\"><\/a>More warnings from Trump<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>US President Donald Trump has, in recent days, warned Iran of consequences if a ceasefire is not reached within a short timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, in an expletives-laden Truth Social post, Trump\u00a0warned Iran\u00a0that the US would target its power plants and bridges if Tehran did not \u201cre-open\u201d the Strait of Hormuz, giving another deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iran said Trump\u2019s statement, which was also denounced within the US, was a \u201cclear evidence of intent to commit war crime\u201d and asked the inte\u00adrnational community to prevent this atrocious act from happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US president later \u200bposted on social media, without mentioning Iran \u200cor \u2060any other details: \u201cTuesday, 8:00 P.M.
