{"id":6899,"date":"2026-02-21T09:27:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T09:27:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistanaffairs.com.pk\/?p=6899"},"modified":"2026-02-21T09:27:05","modified_gmt":"2026-02-21T09:27:05","slug":"seven-killed-in-two-karachi-road-accidents-amid-rain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistanaffairs.com.pk\/index.php\/2026\/02\/21\/seven-killed-in-two-karachi-road-accidents-amid-rain\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven killed in two Karachi road accidents amid rain"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At least seven people, including a child and a woman, were killed and several others injured in two separate road accidents near Karachi on Tuesday as rainfall made roads slippery, officials said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first incident, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the M-9 Motorway near DHA City Karachi during rain, leaving four people dead and several injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured and deceased to nearby private hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson for the National Highways &amp; Motorway Police said damaged vehicles were being removed to restore traffic flow on the busy highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon directed senior officers to oversee rescue operations and ensure smooth traffic management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities said investigations were underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a separate accident, three people, including a woman, were killed when two cars collided near Bahria Town Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased were identified as Syed Baqar (40), Maryam (35), and Syeda Shuja Fatima (22).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly during wet weather conditions, to avoid further accidents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least seven people, including a child and a woman, were killed and several others injured in two separate road accidents near Karachi on Tuesday as rainfall made roads slippery, officials said.
