At least two children lost their lives, while three other people were injured, after a pillar of an under-construction house collapsed in Shujabad on Tuesday.
According to details, the incident took place in the New Larh area of Shujabad when a pillar of an under-construction building suddenly gave way, trapping four children and a woman beneath the rubble.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene after being alerted and launched a rescue operation. They recovered the bodies of two children from the debris, while two other children and a woman were pulled out alive with injuries.
The victims were initially taken to a nearby hospital. However, due to the seriousness of their injuries, the wounded were later shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan for further treatment.
The deceased children were identified as 12-year-old Ayan and 10-year-old Rehan.
