Two minor sisters were killed and their cousin injured when a house boundary wall collapsed in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh on Monday. The injured child was reported to be in stable condition.
LAHORE: Two young sisters were killed and their cousin was injured after a boundary wall of a house collapsed in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh district on Monday.
According to reports, the children were playing inside their home in Mouza Bazwala when the wall fell on them. The victims were identified as Areeba, 5, and Khadeeja, 7, while their cousin Ayesha, 6, was also trapped in the collapse.
Family members removed the debris and took the injured girls to the Khairpur Sadat Rural Health Centre. Doctors there pronounced Areeba and Khadeeja dead, while Ayesha was reported to be in stable condition.
The two sisters were later laid to rest in the local graveyard at Khairpur Sadat after funeral prayers.
