- Special Ramadan traffic plan announced for Karachi
- Water tankers banned before iftar rush hours
- Zero tolerance for violations and illegal parking
The Karachi Traffic Police has finalized a special traffic management plan for Ramadan to ensure smooth flow across the city.
The plan aims to reduce congestion during peak hours before iftar and help citizens reach home on time.
Water Tanker Ban Before Iftar
According to the DIG Traffic, water tankers will be banned in Karachi from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm daily before iftar. The restriction is intended to ease traffic pressure on major roads during rush hours.
Crackdown on Encroachments and Illegal Parking
Traffic police announced strict action against footpath encroachments, illegal parking, pushcarts, and rickshaws that disrupt traffic flow. Authorities said maintaining smooth movement across the city is a top priority during Ramadan.
Rickshaws will not be allowed to enter busy markets in the port city during the holy month. Additionally, 26 routes for Qingqi rickshaws will remain restricted.
